Primrose came into the RHS program in June 2016 when Richardson Animal Services called Bob and Pat Wykes and asked if RHS could take in two small dogs – one was a little yorkie named Harley (who became Esther), and the other was an adorable 5-pound chihuahua named Primrose.
Bob and Pat, of course, headed right to the shelter to scoop up these two, and Pat Rotundo raised her hand to foster the sweet little senior chihuahua. Primrose became a cherished member of Pat’s pack – a “sweetheart and a bit of a stinker.” 🙂
Primrose was a very hard one for Pat to let go, but she did that today, sending Primrose home to a sweet, retired lady, who lost her chihuahua Coco to diabetes earlier this month. She was looking for a dog to provide “companionship, company, and love.”
“Rosie” will rarely be alone, with three adults in the home. She also has a 3-year-old cairn terrier pal named George, who belongs to the adopter’s daughter. George was also a rescue, from the Garland Animal Shelter.
Thank you, Pat, for almost 2 years of fostering and caring for Primrose.
