Playful pup, Rocky, got his Christmas wish yesterday and was adopted by a very experienced dog-owner (her typical count was 3 dogs at a time for most of her adult life!). Eugenia recently lost her last dog, Charlie, suddenly to cancer and she needed a four-legged friend to make her house feel like a home again. Rocky will be the only pet (for now!) but he will definitely not get lonely. When Eugenia is teaching, Rocky’s new Auntie Kitty will visit during the day to let him out and give him some love and play. And sometimes Rocky will get to go to Saturday AP classes with Eugenia; her students are looking forward to meeting him!
Rocky was rescued by Jenny Kraus, who patiently worked to nab him after spotting him running around the White Rock Lake area for weeks and named him for the area he was found. (His new mom likes that story and plans to keep his name!) Thanks to Julie Malcom and family (including their patient dog, Carlie!) for letting Rocky hang out at their home until Eugenia was able to make the adoption final, to the folks at the Velvet Snout for caring for Rocky while he in boarding, and also to Holly Twitchell for being his walking buddy and chauffeur.
