Adorable, playful Tate (11 years old going on 2!) was adopted this morning by a fun, active family with four-year-old twins! They also have a senior dog, Cooper, to be Tate’s pal and show him the ropes. They plan to keep his name and have already sent an update saying that Tate is settling in nicely and is a blessing to their family.
Tate’s new mom told his foster, Martha, that the twins cried when Tate left after the home visit. She explained to them that he had to go home and pack his things, and then he’d be back. So Martha found an orange backpack and packed it with all his treats, toys, gifts from the Angel Tree and, of course, a hair brush to keep that crazy fur under control! Tate came to RHS way back in March 2009 along with his littermates, Tessa and Tanner. All the pups were quickly adopted but, facing difficult personal circumstances, Tate’s family returned him to RHS in 2019. Even after 10 years, Tate is as playful, silly and cuddly as he was as a puppy. Thanks to Martha Denton for fostering him (both times!), to Pat R for going on his home visit and to the staff at the Vet House for taking such good care of him. Happy life, Tater Tot!!
