Kicking off February the right way, sweet little Chihuahua, Fern, was adopted last night! Her foster mom, Nancy, knew pretty early on that Fern was never going to leave, but since Fern came with a couple of cute little pieces of baggage (named Heath and Wren!) AND (not cute) heartworms, they had to wait until her Mommy duties were complete and the heartworms were cleared up before making the adoption happen.
Now called Fifi, she has a human brother (who won her over by slipping her treats during meal times) and a kitty sister named Carly. Fifi and Carly share a love of sleeping on their backs (with their paws up in the air) and vying for the warmest spot in front of the fireplace.
Fern and family were rescued from the Denton Shelter. Thank you, Nancy, for gamely taking on all three when they needed a home, and for giving Fifi the spoiled life she deserves. 🙂
