One of the benefits of working with a rescue is to be able to snatch up the perfect fit for your family. Ollie was that one for the Bearmans. I had been looking for a dog for my son, so the dog had to be good with kids and great with being handled. Ollie caught my eye from the moment he came in to RHS as an owner surrender. (His previous owner adopted him from DAS but due to financial difficulties from the pandemic, had to rehome him.) Rena Piper and her family fostered Ollie until he was ready for adoption and did a terrific job with him. Mr. Bearman was resistant to getting another dog, but Sam convinced him to let Ollie come for a weekend “trial”. We knew immediately that he was the newest Bearman. Thank you to Rena and to RHS for finding Ollie!
Oh, and we did the Wisdom panel on Ollie. It turns out he’s 50% CHIHUAHUA. So now one of his nicknames around the house is “GC” for Giant Chihuahua.
