We lost this precious little soul today, and rather than concentrate on the sadness, I’d like to concentrate on the people who loved him and the people whom he loved. Frost came to Richardson Humane Society via Richardson Animal Services in 2012. He had an upper respiratory infection and heartworms, and we weren’t sure he was going to make it through the heartworm treatment. Ashley Rushing Slocum rescued this precious boy who would become my “favorite” (don’t tell the others). Deb Bosco went with me to the animal shelter to pick him up. Bob and Pat Wykes made sure he had all the medical care he needed via Richardson Humane Society until I adopted him. Everyone at Animal Medical Center of Richardson took great care of Frost, especially his favorites, Lupe ( LA J Scott ) and Dr Rae Falagrady Sevier , from 2012 to 2021. Frost never met a person he didn’t love, and to many of my friends and family, he was a favorite, too. Stephanie Hickey , Jennifer Rannabargar , and Jeane Rannabargar took care of Frost when I was out of town. Frost was especially fond of men, including my nephew John Denton , my godson Luke Ingram , and my friend Gary Ingram. Mia Pbw Bissette created a beautiful painting of Frost that I will always cherish. I just chatted with Amy Drouillard a couple of weeks ago about having bought a birthday cake stuffed toy in anticipation of what would be Frost’s 20th birthday in January 2022. We agreed that he would make it and that we would celebrate. My library coworkers and neighbors loved Frost, too, and understand how much he meant to me. Frost’s friends list goes on and on and on, including Nancy Bailey Ingram , Shari Pearson , Dory Ingram , Pat Rotundo , Maggie Dahl , Sue Francesconi ,Gladys Fung , Dana Huffman , Asako Fertitta and family, Dawn Huslig Denton and Ally… and really too, too many to count now that I’ve started trying…. ♥️ Thank you to everyone who loved him and understands how much he meant to me. Frosty Man, go look for your best snuggle buddies, Louie and Penny. 🌈
