Comet was in our program for a pretty short time before he found his forever home! He came into the program in December 2016 when kind people reported that he and his pal Donner (also in our program) had been abandoned in a back yard for over a month. Their owners had passed away, and when family members came to clear out the house, they left Comet and Donner behind. Comet was tied to a porch. When it became clear no one was coming back for them, they were rescued and RHS was asked to help them find new homes. Both Comet and Donner are amazingly sweet dogs, and his foster mom, Martha, will miss sweet Comet! Bea Rivera and family also fostered Comet, but had to move him to a new foster home when one of their children was allergic to him and were very sad to see him go. Comet’s adopter is also a past RHS adopter! She adopted Daisee, fostered by Saija Virta, in April 2008, and still has her. She’s already sent a picture of Comet sporting his new Rangers jersey!
