Beautiful Dalena (now known as Cookie) went home tonight with a sweet lady who met her at Hollywood Feed on Saturday. We are sooooo hopeful that these two will be very best friends!
Dalena officially came into the RHS program in June 2016, but Dana Huffman and Melanie Bullock had rescued her from the Dallas Shelter and provided boarding and vet care months before.
Dalena was the last of our “Single Ladies” to be adopted. Although she could get along with submissive dogs, it was difficult to find a foster home or adoptive home where she could get along consistently with all the dogs in the home and stay permanently.
Pat Rotundo fostered Dalena, and – when she needed to be boarded – visited her, walked her, played with her, bathed her, brushed her, and transported her to vet appointments and most MTP events.
