From his parents, Ed & Kim:
With broken hearts we are so sad to tell you that George crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday evening as his congestive heart failure and collapsing trachea just got to be too much. In spite of his many health issues, George had almost 13 years of living life to the fullest. He was relentless in his quest to keep our yard squirrel- and bunny-free, and we could always rely on him to let us know when any of our neighbors were walking their dogs. His “talking” earned him the name of “Grumbles” at the groomer, and he never hesitated to let his opinion be heard! The house is so quiet without him, and Chloe is so sad to have lost her little wrestling and napping buddy. We are grateful to RHS for allowing us to foster and then adopt George, and to Martha for always stepping in to watch George and Chloe when we were out of town. Letting go is so hard, but we know he is no longer in pain and is probably already playing with Monet and Pepper.
