Our sweetheart Zuri has been adopted! Her new mom promised her kids that they could have a dog IF they proved responsible enough to care for a pet; they got a fish and had to keep the fish clean and fed (and alive!) for one year. At the end of the year, the beta was still alive and healthy, so the search for a dog began. They met Zuri and quickly decided that she just might be the one. They fostered her for a short time and realized that she was meant to stay with them. Her mom says Zuri, now known permanently by her foster nickname of Bella, has a pure soul, and we all agree.
Zuri was found roaming the streets alone with a crooked leg that had been injured and never treated. The shelter that took her in asked for help since it seemed the leg would require amputation. Dedicated foster, Betsy, stepped up and took her home, where it became apparent that the injury doesn’t slow her down one bit! She romps around the yard with kids and other dogs, goes for walks, climbs the stairs – nothing get in her way! Her fur-ever family even takes her jogging!
Happy tails, Zuri-Bella!
